Over the years, the fundraising function has undergone many changes in form and leadership eventually culminating in the establishment of the Advancement and External Relations department in 2008. Since then, the university has experienced successful resource mobilization campaigns which has enabled the university to grow from the initial few buildings at the administration center that hosted Accountancy and Information Technology courses to now include the Students center, School of Business, School of Management Science, School of Humanities, School of Law, School of Tourism and Hospitality to name but a few.

Calm, collected, ambitious, reliable, and hardworking, are just but some of the many positive attributes that describe the Pioneer Strathmore University Esther Kidambi Scholarship Award Winner – Rosemary Njoroge. Rosemary is an Events Supervisor at the University’s Cafeteria Department, and has served the University for the last 5 years staring as a Waitress in June 2011 before her promotion in June 2013 to her current supervisory role.

John Kevin Owuor was not deterred by his background while he was thinking of joining Strathmore University. He did not have school fees, accommodation or upkeep money to work with, but he had a desire, a smart mind and hope. With support from his family and spiritual leaders, he was driven to start on a blind journey that has proven to be one of the best choices he ever made.
