Service to community is an integral part of Strathmore University and is our third pillar. The mission is to serve society through direct engagement of our students, staff and alumni in efforts to build the community capacity to respond to varied social, economic, environmental and cultural challenges.

1. Educational programs to enhance the quality of education in low income areas. The flagship project being the Teacher Enhancement Programme and the Macheo Achievement Programme

2. Social projects such as rehabilitation of street children, people in prisons and awareness raising on negative cultural practices

3. Environmental projects such as awareness about conservation, tree planting, renewable energy, fighting pollution and building resilience to climate change
